Consultant hired to prepare RRR feasibility study

Rawalpindi: The Punjab government has contracted the services of a consortium of Zreeruk (Pvt) Ltd and Engineering General Consultant (Pvt) Ltd to prepare a feasibility study for developing the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project, a news source reported. The executive has asked the consortium to share the project’s PC-1 within a six-month timeframe.

The firm has been directed to begin the work from today onwards. The RDA has selected the consortium out of the six firms it previously shortlisted. A total of 26 firms had submitted their expressions of interest invited earlier in May this year.

For carrying out the feasibility study of the RRR project, the Punjab govt has allocated PKR 10 billion. The project is being funded by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). From this loan, the government will procure the land for carrying out the development work on the project.
