Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has launched a third-party survey into the 48 private residential societies approved in the district, according to news sources.
The survey gathers data to verify whether the societies are operating under the plans approved by the RDA. It will verify that the societies are complying with the rules and regulations, under which they were issued the No-Objection Certification (NoC).
The authority will launch a crackdown against societies found in violation of the NoCs, including designated spaces for green areas, plantation, schools, parking areas, mosques, and other community facilities.
Previously, the RDA published a refreshed list of 48 approved housing societies on its official website. The real estate investors were cautioned to review this list before making their investments. In another development, the authority announced to conduct a third-party audit of all the private housing projects approved in the last 15 years. It also formulated the eligibility criteria to hire a private firm to conduct the external audit.
